"Not too long ago, in the asteroid belt of the Milky Way…
Humanity met Serapis. Serapis had already built the great city for humans. It wasn’t a surprise to them, you see. But we’ll talk about that in the Serapis section… Everything began in the year 1548 when a nun passed through a wormhole to Astro City. Sister Nia, a captive of Sin Tere, underwent experiments for years. After Sister Nia, people from various places and times on Earth continued to pass into Astro City. When people formed a community large enough, they became able to deal with the SIDs. The war was neither for the city nor for power. They wouldn’t stop until Serapis could study enough humans to understand them.
So, what did people want? People had one common goal within themselves:
NOT TO BE CONDEMNED TO SERAPIS!
Some were searching for a way back; they worked on wormholes, located their positions, and aimed to use the information they obtained from the Serapises for this purpose. Others’ mission was to rescue captured humans. These individuals also helped newcomers to Astro City from potential wormholes. Some believed that Earth was already doomed to destruction and thought that working for Serapis was the most logical choice…”
